PEDL App Redesign - A Public Transport App
PEDL is India's first dock-less, affordable and environmentally friendly cycle sharing service for short trips around the city. All PEDL cycles come with an intelligent lock system that works with a smartphone to bring more convenient access to the user. It is currently available in more than 11 cities in India.
After using the original PEDL app by Zoomcar personally and reading around fifty different user reviews/suggestions, below are my contributions to the app -
1. A separate application for PEDL (taking out of the Zoomcar umbrella) with the enhanced experience having clean, intuitive interface and the most vibrant color scheme
2. ‘Become a PEDL host’ functionality added on the home screen (currently available only on their website)
3. More lively and theme-based logo
4. 'How it works' guide on the home screen
5. 'Terms and Conditions' tick box on the login screen
6. ‘Cycle under maintenance’ flag on the 'Search for PEDL' screen to avoid wasting time in scanning damaged cycles
7. Redesigned station markers on the 'Search for PEDL' screen to have a clear view of the PEDL stations
8. 'Carrier' tick box on the 'Report Cycle Damage' screen to cover all the parts of cylcle
9. A dedicated 'Profile Settings' screen inspired by the original app for managing accounts
10. Restructured 'Help & Support', 'Contact Us', 'Trip in progress' and 'Thanks for PEDLing' screens
