Tolleson Flag
In my Graphic Arts class, we were given a project to redo or create a city flag of our choosing. I chose Tolleson's flag because it really deserves a new flag. The old flag has too much text in it and looks more like a seal on a flag rather than a flag. I decided to stick with the colors yellow and green because they represent Tolleson's agricultural history, it is the colors of corn. Tolleson's flag has a torch in it, so I did some research and the torch is a monument in downtown Tolleson. It represents Tolleson's motto, honoring our past, positioning our future. It tells more of Tolleson's history. At first I made the torch way more different, but my teacher told me that I should stick to the old Tolleson torch. I like the flag, it's simple and describes Tolleson very well. This should be the flag for Tolleson.
