Inspired by Portugal, raised in Australia – Antonio Cerqueira opened
the first Oporto in Bondi Beach in 1986, confident that the vibrant cuisine
and culture of his native Portugal would be a success in his adopted home.
Oporto believes that the incredible experience they provide is every bit as important
as the mouth-watering food they serve, and that their customers should leave feeling

with the carefree attitude of their Bondi beginnings. It's all about being true
to inherently spicy self, and embracing life in full colour (and full flavour!).
