QUT Thinking conference is all about generating new creative ideas. Since it is a conference about building environment, the logo is based on the most basic shape in architecture: a circle and a triangle are used to design the logo of this conference. As people often say: “Thinking out of the box” By having the triangle break the circle, the logo addresses the idea of “Thinking out of a circle”.  In addition, the shape of letter “Q” is also built , which refers to the “Q” in QUT.

The stationaries and posters for this branding project have followed the aesthetic style of logo strictly; meanwhile great attention is paid to the printing paper texture in order to illustrate such elegant and exclusive reading experience.
The Conference Proceedings and folder covers are printed on silver metallic paper. The floor plan background pattern can only be seen clearly under certain light direction, which fulfilled the reading enjoyment. The name card and invitation are printed on Linen paper. A silk ribbon is designed which provides an easier and much more delicate way to unwarp invitation.

The Conference Program covers are printed on silver metallic paper. Inspired by the music concert program booklet, a vertical half-fold A4 paper ratio has been applied. Since the program is all about sessions and parallel time, a logo of clock variation has been applied to the cover page. The floor plan background pattern on cover can only be seen clearly under certain light direction, which fulfills the pleasure from reading.

Detailed information is printed on linen paper, which gives the Conference Program booklet a touch of elegance and a sense of timeless glamour.

Both posters involve floor plans as a background, a consistency of overall branding style. In order to address the crucial attribute of the conference: sustainability, half of the tree has been transferred into the floor plan. Another poster features the guest lecturer with his own architecture to communicate rich information.
