WORDS WORKS DESIGN SHOW.

Words Works is the launching event and the ultimate result of a four months anti-disciplinary teaching and learning experience during the Final Synthesis Studio - C1 at the school of Design of Politecnico di Milano. The journey started with the assignment to design a communicative experience related to a set of words about emotions or human conditions. During the exhibition the users are invited to try the communicative machines, the devices and the interactive experiences designed by the students - interpreting each word - in order to gain a higher understanding of the word itself. Concept behind the project is a relationship between what is abstract and what is concrete. Words represents the first part, the one about conditions and human being explored, meanwhile Works stands for what is real, the devices and the experiences realized for the event. All the visual related to the event follows this bipartition between abstract and concrete. Two graphic techniques, red blow-pen and deep blue tape, refer to these worlds. Particularly, the ephemeral and elusive sign of the airbrush clearly recall the imaginary of words, meanwhile works are represented by the paper tape, tangible and material.
