On December 1, 2012, Wine by the Bay staged an event trio (wine tasting, media book launch, and art exhibit) to jumpstart the peak of art season in Miami that begins each year with Art Basel Miami Beach and Miami Art Week. The "Magic City"also hosts over 25 additional satellite art fairs.
My Art Guides Miami made its debut at Art Basel 2012. This "pocket-sized" print guide is the only publication available to patrons at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Based in Venice, Italy, the production company "Lightbox" publishes My Biennale Art & Architecture (Venice) and My Art Guide Basel (Switzerland) plus promotes and markets international art events.
Wine by the Bay hosted a California wine tasting event and the shop exhibited works by artists: Valeria Yamamoto, Fahar, Claudia Hakim, Mario Velez, and Hunt Slonem.
Over 200 guests attended.
Promoting a major event begins with a title, description, a visual, a short description for listings, and an announcement via press release.
Although the initial release goes out quite a bit of time ahead of the actual event date, a photo opp allows another opportunity for media attention.
To generate interest and boost attendance, it's important to list the event in many places:
With a limited word count available in the pocket-sized My Art Guide, it was important to create an attractive description matching the standards of other advertisers.
