The aim of my project is to analyze which museums, galleries or exhibitions of London are the most popular

and useful for graphic designers and then make a guide about one or more selected items. Theme of this 

project was based on the research of my group. Furthermore, I have taken their idea and then developed it

further. Inthe beginning of my research the first and the most important thing was to talk to other people, to other

graphic designers. I could not just come closer to the person and ask him/her about the subject. That is why I

decided to create a small online survey, where people might write everything they really think, without 

mentioning their names. There was a list of museums, which could contain useful things for graphic designers.

I found these museums from web resources and other guides. The person should choose museums, which

he/she saw and then describe what he/she liked there or vice versa. After that I waited for a week and checked

answers. Unfortunately I had only nine answers, but it was enough for my guide because almost all answers

were in favor of a Victoria and Albert museum (V&A). However I started my observation. I highlighted three the

most popular museums from the list, which I mentioned above. The V&A is on the first place, The British

Museum on the second and Tate Modern on the third. Then I collected important information about all of these

places, for example information about opening hours and addresses. After that I visited them in order to see

them through my eyes. In my opinion the most interesting and useful museum from all the rest from the list is

the V&A. That is why there is more information about it than about other museums in my guide. When I visited

the V&A for the first time I noticed chandelier in the main hole, which has unusual size and it was clearly seen 

that it was hand made work. I was really impressed by this chandelier, so then I looked up for the information 

about it. I asked stuff of the museum then I made some photographs, which were very low quality. In spite it I 

found a website of the author with the help of the Internet. The author of one of the most popular chandeliers is 

Dale Chihuly, about which I also wrote in my guide.
