VILLA SAN PIETRO aka THE VILLAGE of "BABACIU"

This village takes part to the municipality of Monterosso Grana, in the province of Cuneo (Piedmont).
From an idea started in 2003, balconies, arcades, stalls and other suitable places, have been inhabited by these "men without time", called Babaciu (puppets) into the Piedmontese dialect, here, once, Occitan territory.
They are dressed with clothes normally used by population during the late 1800, and doing the usual works of the same period; a quiet farmer life, all gathered around the family, the community. They seem to be inanimate, but I suggest you to visit them year after year... Enjoy!
