Peachy Word Project - 2017
I wanted to create variations of the word "peachy". I was intrigued by its connection to peaches while also meaning "just fine". My first step was to create sketches to get ideas going as shown below.
My next phase was to create very rough sculptures of my word to get a feel for materials and to continue with potential ideas.
Next I went digital (Adobe Illustrator) for more iterations
This is what I came up with as the final product in the digital realm. I made sure it was still readable in black and white.
I made a sculpture version of Peachy as well and took pictures of it in different settings to convey different meanings. The sculpture is made of styrofoam with clay covering it as well as faux fur carefully cut and placed on some letters.

The first picture has a literal peach meaning to it and has been adjusted to be extra
warm in color.
Here is a photo taken in a scary surrounding to signify a sarcastic meaning to "everything's just peachy".
Here is my favorite photo taken on a playground to represent the carefree nature/peachiness of childhood.
