Dulux Colour Scheme Design Automation with Photoshop

Photograph of a South Indian Seascape/Sunrise taken by me during a holiday which I have selected for the basis of a Dulux paint colour scheme.
Photoshop's cut out artistic filter was applied and the image mode was converted from RGB to the custom index mode to abstract the photograph and reduce the colour palette to six colours.
With Photoshop I identified the six colour's RGB values and then ran them through a algorithm I developed which analysises RGB colour simularity. By entering a colour's RGB value the algorithm will identify the most similar colour from with in the Dulux paint colour ranges  (Dulux has a paint colour palette of over 4,600 colours while the RGB colour gamut contains over 16 million colours). Three of these Dulux colour were identified and the image colours were changed as per the above image.
This automated colour scheme design was then applied to a Photoshop template of a previous residential project to better illustrate this automated colour scheme design technique.
The above Photoshop composited image illustrates how the new Dulux paint colour scheme shares a close colour relationship with the South Indian Seascape/Sunrise photograph
