Project Production
The brief for this project was to shoot one harsh light, one soft, and one alternative photo. The project took place over 2 weeks (with about 3 hours of shooting time). The only constraints for this project were to capture one portrait in harsh lighting, and one in soft lighting. The rest was entirely up to the students.
Artist Statement
This was my first time shooting in a studio environment, so I wanted to steer away from any obvious setups. My overall aim for this project was to achieve a glitch or distorted look in the images without too much manipulation. This proved quite challenging and thus for the alternate shot, I let loose in Photoshop to make it clear what I was aiming to achieve.
