This drawing is the product of several months of work. It began with many drawings of a votive object I created to represent my relationships with two different people. From there it evolved through many stages, mirroring life events and my own changing perspective, ultimately resulting as an introspective self portrait.
Looking back, this piece truly documents a time in my life when I learned to depend on myself, working to understand the beauty and power of autonomy.
