Our brief requirements and solutions
In this project the brief addresses the issues within Wikipedia and requires solutions for these problems. Some of the problems that Wikipedia faces is that it is often reached through Google, the main issues with Wikipedia is the credibility, accessibility, findability and the nudging strategy of Wikipedia. For the credibility strategy a system will be put into place that requires user feedback in order to show whether the article was useful to the user or not, as well as a viewing system that allows the user to see who has worked on the article, when it was last edited and how many people have viewed the article. For the accessibility strategy the side navigation will be changed so that the main navigation is on the top right hand corner where user can easily find and engage with it.  For the findability strategy I have included in the credibility strategy that when the article is viewed and given high ratings the article will then become a featured article. For the nudging strategy a donate button will appear in the top navigation as well as in the secondary navigation. Certain colours have been chosen that draws attention to the donate button as well as a quote from the founder of Wikipedia for donations.
Home Page
Article Page
For the article page the redesign consists of changing the side navigation of Wikipedia and placing it in the top right hand corner where users are able to interact with the navigation seamlessly.
Credibality Strategy
For the credibility strategy a system wherein the viewer can see how many authors have worked on the page as well as when the article page was last edited and how many people have viewed the article. This system allows viewers to see that the information is not solely based on one persons information but has been seen by multiple people who may have knowledge in that particular field of information.
Findability Strategy
For the find ability strategy the same concept of having the viewers seeing how many have worked on the article, has been applied to the find ability strategy wherein users are asked how useful the article is and to rate the article as well. When the article is rated above three stars it then becomes a featured article where other users on Wikipedia are able to see the article.
Donate nudging strategy
For the donations nudging strategy, the donate buttons is placed within the top navigation with an accent border around to draw the viewers attention to the donation button. The donate button is also placed at the bottom of the page in the secondary navigation. As the user scrolls through the page their is a donate button in the to navigation and further down the page their is a quote from the founder of Wikipedia on making donations to Wikipedia, there is another donate at the bottom of the page so the user does not have to scroll all the way back up to the top to donate.

Design choices
For the design choices that were made during the duration of this project were made in consideration of Information Architecture. Many of the tools that are displayed in Wikipedia can be confusing and part of the redesign of the main page was to remove the side navigation and place it at the top of the page as well as to rename some of the tools used within Wikipedia so that users would be to understand the function of the tool. Another design decision that was to change Wikipedia's current font to Roboto as the main headings and body copy with Lato as a secondary heading font. The colours that were chosen for the website were blue-grey as the primary colour and a lighter blue-grey for the secondary colour. The accent colour is a light blue that grabs the users attention and shows a call to action function. These colours were chosen to make users trust  the site as well as show that the information is credible because of the athestics of the website.
