Packaging For Tea

My design brief was to design packaging for Tea for the purpose of high end corporate gifting.

Over the  course of four weeks, I explored various iterations with different kinds and colours of paper to make the packaging aesthetically pleasing and at the same time innovative. I also had to stick to a particular colour scheme to tie the different types of packaging together. Through the project I also wanted to eliminate the need for unnecessary layers of packaging. Leaning on the idea that "Less is More" I stuck to making single layer packaging.
The above packaging piece is meant to hold around 10 tea bags. There is space for branding as well as additional information about the tea on the brown tags.
This type of packaging is meant to hold around 20 tea bags. The box is circular and can be used as a display if need be.
This is another iteration of packaging meant to hold 20 tea bags, in the form of a box.
This was created more as a display for sampling of exotic teas. The bags are easily accessible and arranged in a fun swirly pattern.

I used origami to make my packaging as I wanted to eliminate the need for tabs and glue thereby also reducing the wastage that goes into packaging products.
