A visual interpretation of the most famous quote in theatre history.
The typography of the quote is used in an illustrative manner, depicting the human
form. The self-conflict element that is hidden in Shakespeare's words is represented
in the most simple way, an incesion of the human form that divides the typography
in two clear choices: To be or not to be? That is the question.
This project was selected and exhibited in the collaborative exhibition of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Central Saint Martins, entitled 'Re-Coding Shakespeare'. The exhibition was held at Stratford-upon-Avon and was part of the London 2012 Festival and World Shakespeare Festival.
Part of the artwork was also used in promotional material by the Royal Shakespeare Company.
