/ Co-existance
Comuna is the concept of a desk lamp that allows sharing light with the help of others. Inspired by the idea of lighting a candle with another, Comuna works with sensors and code that allow to light the lamp by bringing its tip to an already lit lamp. Comuna pushes people to create a dialogue as a way to obtain light, with the possibility of meeting new people, create connections, new conversations and generate a community.
In this way, we all participate to light up a same space, where we are connected through the same light.

How might we generate an inclusive atmosphere
when everyone is looking for their own space?

Behind the idea
Comuna is an idea inspired by my first job experience, where at the beginning I felt apart from the rest of the co-workers. At the time I was dealing an untreated psychological problem and I wished I had an excuse to get closer to people more easily to have the confidence to share my ideas. For this project I wished to solve it through the common activity of using lamps to light up the working area, this was also my first time working with Arduino.
Among my ideas for this, I was interested in working through everyday activities, so unconsciously, people would get community-driven to develop a sense of belonging and  seek a common good.
