In this project, I first focused on the logo. To me, women's fashion is strong and powerful, so I was thinking about harsh lines and bold serif fonts. But, because it has some kind of lightness to it and because the fashion week I was focusing on was for the spring, I wanted a hallow logo. I referenced polygonal logos to achieve that.
When it came to creating a mood board, I focused heavily on pastels. The ones with natural qualities seemed to fit my direction best. I also focused on finding deeper colors that would compliment the final three lighter colors that I chose. As far as typography, I went the sans serif font route.
I decided to create a poster series first to establish the overall look of the brand. I started by using the pastel colors as my backdrops. I added in a hint of the marble textures I had found for my mood boards to add some variety; the solid backdrop seemed too bare and plain for a fashion advertisement. Models were also masked out and placed with my secondary "V" logo placed on top. Finally, the logo with the complimentary dark colors was positioned.
A stationary system was created with the blue marble texture. It was also paired with pink header text.
An app would also be important because, again, people are moving towards digital. The app could be helpful for users to buy their daily tickets and to create their own custom itinerary. This could be done by them simply picking out which fashion show they would like to attend. Their chosen time would automatically be put into their itinerary. More information could be found on the third section of the app.
Finally, since a good percentage of the people attending the shows are influencers, it would be important to have a branded location for them to take photos.
