Dot Dot Dot: Braille intro kit for sighted

DOT DOT DOT

Have you ever wondered when traveling on a bus, buying medicine or using an ATM that why there are small raised dots on some places?Maybe you know what it is but have you ever thought what it means and how it works?

Braille is a system of making raised dots to form words that could be read by blind people using their fingertips. Each braille cell consists of two columns and three dots. Letters, Words, Numbers or Punctuation can be made using combinations of these dots.
The prototype is inspired by how blind people write braille. But this is similar to how we use pencil or print. It is an interactive piece where the user can 'write' anything they want in a braille font. By taking help from the font board the user can learn and write something by using a braille cell stencil and stylus.
