3d printing - product designs 1) Client project (Varuno, Inc.) – Dandelion picture frame. Designed to personally accentuate client’s custom artwork, this picture frame measures over 3 foot high. Due to the large size and the current limitations of 3d printing, the frame was modeled and split into 4 printable components designed to fit into the nylon SLS print beds. Interlocking joints were designed into the ends of each section so they could be assembled once printed. Each dandelion and flower was individually woven into the frame to ensure connection and print ability. 2) Client project (Jayhawk Trophy Co) - 3d model of Kansas University's Jayhawk mascot. Model designed based on a prototype from client. Final model will be used for 3d printing in metal. 3) Arduino robot built with distance sensors and movement. Wheels were designed to include mini wheels that can rotate multi directional. Designed to print as one piece using SLS and taking advantage of powder printing technologies. 4) 3d scanned flower glass holder. Designed to test the limits of the flexibility and minimum wall thickness of nylon
