This was an attempt to copy "Lady Agnew of Lochnaw" by a favorite painter, John Singer Sargent. The three week process began by learning about Sargent's life and painting techniques, and stretching the 40x50" canvas. Obviously I was not able to recreate the genius of the original, but this project was a good chance to practice oil painting and to work on color mixing.
