• the graphic language created for NTS, is based on the idea of communication, with the freedom of the internet, being a brand that can be seen as non-physical, open and accessible, the idea of NTS is that it reaches far beyond the physical community, taking the concept of sampling (reusing, looping, and repetition) and letting this notion influence the ecosystem of what NTS is, creating a dynamic narrative, where the visuals and print materials are influence by this idea.

    the mark is a representation of their diversity within their programming and audience, with the idea of language as a medium, the graphic symbol of the colon introduces the logical consequence, or effect, of a fact stated before, a common use of the colon is to inform the reader what follows. the mark for NTS is a way to represent language as a medium where context affects meaning. the continuous changing forms reflect the diverse programming, the use of it is based on a linguistic system: following the idea of language as a ‘system.’
