Fast Food Paleo Options

Technically, fast food is not Paleo. But sometimes life happens and we must find something to eat at a fast food restaurant. When put in that situation, what can you eat while still staying in line with your Paleo diet? The following five are viable options!

In and Out Burger
In and Out Burger has a one hundred percent beef patty. You can then substitute lettuce for bread. Onions come grilled but can be fresh if you want. You can ask for it mustard-grilled for an extra kick of flavor; hold the sauce and hold the cheese for a true Paleo meal.

Jimmy John's
Try the lettuce wrap with double turkey and veggie with avocado spread and mustard. Processed meat is not Paleo but there are no artificial ingredients, and the mustard does have some added sugar but it’s one of the healthiest condiments. You can add more avocado or meat, depending on your needs.

Pita Pit
If you end up at a Pita Pit, go for the salad with egg, avocado, black olives, green peppers, mushrooms and siracha. Ask for double the usual serving of meat. Unfortunately, Pita Pit does not have all of their ingredients listed online so we cannot be totally sure what is in the meat.

Chipotle Steak Salad
Steak is the lowest sodium meat besides the chicken. And let’s face it, too much chicken can get old. So try this steak salad with lettuce and guacamole. Skip the salad dressing, as it’s loaded with sugars.

Jamba Juice
If you find yourself at Jamba Juice, order the orange carrot smoothie. This smoothie is made from real whole fruits, but it is still very high in sugar. Some of that sugar is from the fruit but they also use artificial fruit blends. This is vegan and non-dairy according to the website.

If you’re Paleo or have ever been Paleo, then you’ve probably experienced the struggle that is eating out with friends. Depending on how strictly you follow the Paleo diet, your options are limited. The good news is, there are still a few fast food options for you.
