The Rapid Prototype project involved using an existing product as a base in which an additional part is added to give an alternative functional use.

The concept aims to promote reuse of existing packaging, in this case a used salsa jar can now provide easy storage of cheese when it is grated through the stainless steel lid.

The contextual images shown demonstrate ease of use and potential for a long lasting functional product, therefore reducing the amount of recycling required.
