ICAO Annual Safety Report :: Asia Pacific Region 2017

The objectives of this RASG-APAC Annual Safety Report are to gather safety data from various sources, analyse the main aviation safety risks in the Asia Pacific region and identify possible migratory measures for enhancing aviation safety in a coordinated manner.
The safety information presented in this report is based on the compilation and analysis of data provided by ICAO, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Commercial Aviation Safety Team (CAST).
I was given the opportunity to respond to a brief provided by ICAO during my role as a Graphic Designer at the Civil Aviation Safety Authority November 2017, given full autonomy on the creative direction and approach to data visualisation. The following are selected parts of a 42 page publication intended for digital viewing; but was also designed with print in mind. The solution places emphasis on minimalism, with clear and rational typographic / editorial design.
