Personal Project - Exploration of the handheld form.
*Model sculpted from a single block of aluminum.
The dumbbell's design revolves around holding a pebble in your hand,
keeping the weight's center of gravity well nested in the palm.
Playing with the subtleties of form to attract the user to an object,
the shadows casted beneath the pebble invites the user to lift it up.
Once enveloped by the hand, the object invites the user to further explore its surface.
A sharp defining curve leads the user across the body of metal,
invoking curiosity, and guiding their grip over the object.
*weight can be varied according to on the type of metal used.
