Delicate as a flower, the lassie sat there gentle, small and nimble, as high as a thumb.. she was given the name Thumbelina

Trouble lurked near the delicate damsel... the toad leapt upon her.. and took her for himself....

She fled the ugly wet toad... alighted on a leaf... she glided through territories where the toad could not possibly reach her..

She braves the elements hard, but alas winter comes, and she falls in desperate straits

Cold and shivering, she finds a dwelling under a mouse's keeping

Repulsed at the thought of marrying a mole.. she flees the dark and dingy, grimy hole..

She held her hold, She fled far on a swallow, she nursed in the cold..

In a sunny field of flowers, she met her fairy prince, and then they became lovers. Thumbelina earned a pair of wings and she sang cheerfully in the springs.
