The year is 2026. Autonomous transportation technology has enormously changed infrastructure globally. In the last years autonomous driving has seen a transcendence from self driving and assisted driving to driving fully autonomously. This development has optimized transportation over land with regard to efficiency and safety. Traffic jams and traffic casualties have been reduced to a minimum. Self driving is prohibited and cars are gradually changing into moving living environments and loose their sportive and active soul. The autonomous driving evolution has changed the focus of car developers. Moreover is has lead to their adoption of yet another branch: short to medium distance private aviation. Manned drones have become the new luxury sports cars. Although these 'automotive inspired' drones are able to fly fully autonomously, assisted flying is allowed, making it the way to get around for the billionaire playboy thrillseeker. The depicted drone has a sportive, a casual and a fully autonomous flying mode to which the interior adapts. The highly user friendly flying controls are based on UAV remote control devices, game console controllers and tablets. Information is displayed not only towards the person inside but also towards people in close proximity to the drone, in order to inform or warn them. This is done by means of projections and curved displays.
