"No Encalço dos Bufões", publicado pela editora Javali em 2018, apresenta a pesquisa do professor mineiro, bailarino e diretor teatral, Joaquim Elias Costa, acerca do universo do bufão. Também conhecido como arlequim, bobo da corte, louco ou palhaço, sua figura é muito utilizada nas artes, e no teatro foi investigada por grandes mestres como o francês Jacques Lecoq.
O projeto editorial deveria refletir a ideia de ruptura da ordem, explorando assim o retrato psicológico e histórico do bufão apresentado no livro. A publicação possui duas capas iguais que geram diferentes possibilidades de leitura. Tal qual o Bufão, o projeto altera uma ordem preestabelecida sem qualquer aviso prévio. A numeração das páginas apresentam a possibilidade de inversão e dualidade, conceitos também diretamente relacionados ao arquétipo dos bufões.
