Demo Reel's Breakdown

The intention was to show 3 different exercises of modeling and texturing, using Maya, Zbrush, and Photoshop. The reel shows 3 project covering:
 
-fantasy creatures
-human characters, and
-modular design 
 
The 3 projects were develop as follow:

1.- This project was started in Zbrush and then re-topologized in Topogun. The full body shape ended being about 2.5k triangles.

2.- Secondly, I wanted to model and texture myself in 3D. The exercise started with a studio photo shoot from different angles to create references to be use in Maya. The final result is around 2500 triangles. The UV unwrap was done with UVLayout and the layout of UVs was done inside of Maya.
 
-Textures were applied inside of Zbrush using the Spotlight tool.
3.-The final project uses a modular design methodology. Each shape is laid out upon a hexagonal grid. One of the ideas behind this was to keep the circulations "flowing" like a river.
