Project investigating 'materiality'.

For this project I was interested in the relationship between the body, both as a tool and as a subject, and modeling clay. I used and re-used the same block of clay for each form I created. The process of creating/unmaking/recreating made me think about the cyclical nature of the clay as a material - it was only static when my relationship to it as a material was static. Thus all the forms I created were ephemeral becasue of the way I was reusing the clay, yet they all existed as a potentiality within the clay.

The following are some of these potential permutations.
