This machine is pure engineering, is one of my greatest mechanical design exercise. Today the Modena-based company, Vibra, is producing this jewel of efficiency and productivity.
Basically, the machine has the role to grab the tree and shake it. The fruits will drop down where a reverse umbrella is ready to collect them.
This method can be harsh and dangerous for the plant, especially for its skin. The Mod. Gemon is great because it is gentle and strong at the same time. It doesn't scratch the skin of any fruit three, not even the younger.
It has a developed grab system that can easily adapt its shape to the shape of the three and avoid any kind of damages. The grabbing system and the vibration system are patented and tested since 2012 on more than 2 millions of threes. They are happy and alive.
