Globally, two and a half billion people do not use improved sanitation facilities and 15 percent of the global population – equivalent to one billion people – still defecate in the open.No country in the world has more open defecation than India, where one in two people defecate outside. Every year, 200,000 children in India die from diseases caused by fecal contamination and about 300 million women and girls in India still have no other choice than to squat in a sari, while holding a cup of water to cleanse yourself and keeping an eye out for rapists.This is a social campaign creating awareness to put an end to open defecation. The campaign comprises of Posters, press ads and outdoors such as billboard depicting the consequences of 'open defecation' through various illustrations.
