I began with a new photo I had taken. Next I desaturated the image.

I selected what I was wearing and edited the levels to get this effect here. After that I changed the hair color to red.

I found wings that I liked and manged to get them into the position that they are. It took forever to scale and position them lol.

Time to color the wings. 

Test one this glow fire wings. 

I desaturate the wings here to get the red colored wings.

with the wing color found I began working on the fire effect that surrounds the wings.

I discovered a GIMP plugin called G'Mic - QT. In it,​​​​​​​ I found fire edge effect and started to attempt to use that for the glowing wing flame effect instead of the previous one I had made.

Finally I added this blood rain effect to the image.

Last thing I did was add this red glowing orb in the middle of my chest.

Errors that I notice: 

1. the wing position could be worked on. 

2. I feel the wings should be wrapped around me or droopy, instead of being outstretched. 

3. The modding of the wings could be better. However, i am working with GIMP, not a 3D modeling software such as Blender.
