Dew is a water harvester leaf made 100% from recycled aluminum with ice gel inside its body.  It makes use of this material's heat transfer properties to condense water from the air on its surface and pour it into the soil to aid watering our indoor and outdoor small plants.  It recreates the action of planting as a symbolic reminder of the importance of your actions in taking care of the environment.

Dew consists of two main components:  The water harvester leaf and an irrigation mesh funnel.  The leaf slowly hydrates the plant by dripping condensed water into the funnel.  The mesh funnel helps the leaf stand still and serves as a water reservoir that contains and distributes water into the soil.

DEW has an ice gel filling inside its body.  Put it inside the freezer so it lowers down its temperature and then take it out. As the inner gel freezes and the aluminum body lowers its temperature, it gets colder than the ambient temperature,  making water in the air to start condensing on its surface and slide down into the soil.
Taking care of our plants consumes an important amount of drinkable water in most cases. By implementing biomimicry inspired in the Namib Beetle, DEW has little rigs on its surface that help collect the water and generate big drops that can finally irrigate the plant without needing any added amount of water, making it efficient and sustainable. Also, by blending this natural technology with Second-life aluminum, an artificial material, it helps to breed life!
