Virginity: Lost or Found?

This project is for a course in my college called Good Girl Bad Girl. The aim of this calendar is to show how Indian women's view of maintaining their virginity before marriage is fast becoming a lost tradition. I interviewed a number of women from three generations; 1960, 1980 and 2000. I illustrated four women (from different backgrounds) from each generation in this calendar going from the 1960s to the 2000s. Each woman has a few words on their first time having sex, and you can see a definite change in the outlook these women have on virginity.
JAN: 1960s; first time on wedding night; painful and not enjoyable
FEB: 1960s; first time on wedding night; forced and violent
MARCH: 1960s; first time on wedding night; educated on sex by elder women in the family, excited for first time
APRIL: 1960s; first time on wedding night; anxious, looking forward to a new experience
MAY: 1980s; first time with a boyfriend; boring and uneventful, 'did not even orgasm'
JUNE: 1980s; first time on wedding night; violent, aggressive and surprising
JULY: 1980s; first time; sexually abused by an elder male member of the family
AUG: 1980s; first time; a fun, new experience with a college boyfriend
SEPT: 2000s; first time; unsure, shy before it happened, moderately enjoyable
OCT: 2000s; first time; upsetting, wished it had happened with someone else
NOV: 2000s; first time; memorable, exciting and happy experience
DEC: 2000s; first time; new experience that quickly became a frequent activity, 'it made me very comfortable with my sexuality'
