London Landmarks- AfterEffects Paper Tutorial
In this particular workshop AfterEffects workshop we worked with three dimensional layers and CC Page Turn to produce this final outcome. By moving separate layers (imported through Illustrator) to different coordinates on the Z axis we can create a more textured composition. This style is very much like paper Mario. This project reminded me of paper Mario because of the way the characters are textured. Positioning the camera in 3D space was the part of this workshop which I struggled with the most, just because I have very little experience of doing this in the past. Importing the assets correctly was important as I needed to make sure the floors of all my separate layers were much wider than the original frame, this is because when the camera pans out the layers would be cut off if I didn't make them any larger. For the preparation of this workshop I spent a lot of time creating all of the assets over Christmas. These are all of the assets which I created for this workshop. The one which took me the longest to create was the Tower Bridge as there are so many shapes which I had to create. One other thing that I had to take into consideration was that I wanted the London Eye to rotate and the bridge to close. In order to do this I had to add the different assets to different layers and then precompose them all to add the page turn effect to the composition.
