Silang - Bar Stool

‘Silang’ is a term to describe ‘Cross’ in Bahasa Malaysia. The Concept and Inspiration driven behind this bar stool design is the study of leg body language. Crossing of legs is very common, and can mean different things in different circumstances. Leg-crossing can also be a sign of submissiveness. However, it could also be just a pointer to the person’s character, which is either shyness or lack of confidence. ‘Silang’ bar stool relates the importance of leg body language when the audience/users are in contact with each other and the implementation of leg body language in design.
