The band was formed by Yamada (Vo, Gt) and Hide (Gt) in Ibaraki, Japan.
After playing other bands, Sumatra Black Tiger finally started in 2012.
In November 2016, Haga (Ba), and Kaoru (Dr) officially joined.
The worldview and songs that consists of magnificent voice,
the never ending riff, and all member's choir
are aggressive, but gentle as if gouging a foreign body out from a cut.
Putting words on melody
to engrave something on hearts more than just language,
and mixing acoustic live sang by the vocal, Yamada in their rock concerts,
they make "the day" and "present" extraordinary.
