“Pakistan” is an artist's book about my country. Starting from the rich historical heritage of the Indian subcontinent, the story traces the journey from Mughal Empire to colonization and lastly to present-day Pakistan.
I wanted to create this book as an answer to the questions I'd be asked while living in United States regarding life in Pakistan. The the syle of illustration combines the aesthetics of comic books with the Eastern traditon of miniature painting.
