InforEstudante is a web application designed to support the students of the University of Coimbra. It is part of the NONIO system used by the Academic Management Services of the University.
From the first sketches, to mockups, to the implementation of the new design in the system, as well as an adaptation to support browsing in mobile devices, the new UI of NONIO InforEstudante went through an extensive work of reasearch and conceptualisation, as well as user testing throughout the span of a year and a half.
All redesign was conceptualised around the architectural structure already in place with only UX corrections made to improve experience flow.
The biggest challenge? Renew a platform that is used by thousands of different users, from the most different education, cultural and age background, and keep it accessible, functional and pleasing to use.
