Design Talks

Design Talks is a long-running series of events that are intended for students from the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate design courses (Architecture, Interior Architecture and Design, Product and Industrial Design, Design Crafts, Fashion Design, Fashion Business – as well as Graphics and Illustration). The talks are of importance of all art students and are led by high profile speakers in the design industry. The brief was to design an identity for these talks.

I used the approach I did, to relate to art students from all diverse design courses. My method was to come up with an identity that would be attracting to a broad range of design courses, and to not be focused on just one course. When I researched on all the different design courses I came to realise that the one thing they had in common was colour and shapes. For design courses, those 2 factors will always play a big part.
