App's concept
The app is for children age 4-6 to help them learn how to read. Children learn letters step-by-step. The application is built on the basis of analytic synthetic approach. Children consistently learn sounds, learn to connect them into syllables, then assemble them into words, words into sentences.
Each section with one letter has three levels. To complete a task, child selects the right letters or syllables and pulls them to the right places. All tasks are announced before the start, so that children can interact with the app without help of parents. After completing all the exercises for one letter, user can return to the main screen and select next letter.
Learning is fun!
Each letter is tied to its hero animal. The hero helps children to learn playful. After successful completion of the task, the main character is animated, shows a small story and then proceeds to the next task.
Bear (Medved') helps to complete tasks in the letter "M" section. Each level of the section has different backgrounds and colours.
