"Feira de Maio" is my final project for my 3rd year's Animation I class, in which we were assigned to create a 1 minute animation based someone's first time doing something. I chose to dedicate this to my father and grandfather, honoring a particularly dear memory: the first time my grandpa took my dad to the local fair, and bought him a cowboy suit and a gunpowder pistol.
The animation itself was done under great time constraints, created and finished from scratch in the span of 5 days. In order to be able to finish it in time, I had to make use of loops and a simpler style, consisting only in linework. To compensate, I chose to pursue a more expressive, detailed kind of style in both the lineart, the characters and backgrounds.
