We live in a fast paced world where we are constantly receiving news of environmental disasters, endangered species, political conflicts and human rights issues. Through news and social media we are bombarded by constantly updating reports of these global issues. We have little time to reflect on an issue before it is replaced by another breaking news story, the issues become blurred, we become desensitized.
This project reflects on Amnesty Internationals ongoing protest against the death penalty. The illustration of lady justice has images of methods of the death penalty around her blindfold making her totally oblivious and unknowing to how injustice this act is. Her scales are shattering under the weight of the words ‘Death penalty makes justice blind’.
