This project consists of re-building an existing package for a product of my choice. The redesign must include all text and information from the original packaging. I had to create a vector die strike that includes all folds, cuts and adhesive areas.
My product was a "Justice League Unlimited Edition Box Set", which currently does not exist. I wanted to create something that fans would enjoy and want to buy, heck its something I would buy!
I wanted to create something that could rival Marvel's Phase 1 & 2 box sets.
Here are the current collections available for the DC Films or DCEU (DC Extended Universe).

Here are my very first thumbnails (scaled down of course), I really wanted to make sure I got the design of the box done correctly first.
My inspiration for the design on the box came from watching the Justice League movie and seeing the Motherboxes for the first time. Motherboxes play such an integral role in the movie and I wanted fans to feel like they were taking a piece of the movie home with them. I figured they could use mother boxes for DC's different phases, and change the type each time. I decided to use the Human mother box as the first collection of DC Films.
The printed version is a scaled down version of the full size. In this photo, I have the box that will hold the blu rays and the cover for the mother box.
On the side of the inner box, I included the logos for the three main members/three films of the Justice League.
When opened, the box gives a brief description and you are greeted with an awesome picture of the Justice League. As you can see from the photo, there are four open slots for; Man Of Steel, Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman, and Justice League movies. The box next to the blu rays would hold the collectibles.
Included in this box set would be a CCPD id for Barry Allen, Wonder Woman's WW1 Squad photo, A Batarang, an Aquaman Atlantean "A" belt buckle, a "Superman is Dead" news clipping, and Cyborg's (Victor Stone) letterman patches from GCU, and a download code for Suicide Squad.
