Climbing structures for urban spaces
Here the brief was to understand current trends in market and technology in addition to user centric research to come up with a solution involving play that would solve an existing problem. The area of research chosen was outdoor play behaviour in 5-12 year olds and outdoor play spaces. The final outcome were 4 configurations of outdoor climbing structures that try to emulate the experience of tree-climbing. These structures consist of structural members that are straight lines, simple curves and right angles. The climbing surfaces were made of rope structures that formed organic surfaces.
