TRY LATER
September 2017

Try Later is a visual artifact, is a participatory act, is a waiting archive. Try Later invites us to reflect on the practice of the photographic act in a society where the image has lost its desirability, caused by the lack of expectation, meditation, of a conscious criticism of the act which is now reduced to an unconditional reflection, to a technological instinct. Try Later invites us to reflect on how photographic media has changed our way of photographing, and our awareness of this matter.
The archive consists of ten images deliberately underexposed, potential images blocked by a ten year countdown. The user is encouraged to log on to the archive to receive ten digital negatives (RAW files) after the expiration date that could be developed using a photographic postproduction software.
Try Later is a project realized by Lorenzo Feliciani within the Photography Course of the MA in Communication and Design for Publishing, ISIA Urbino, with the supervision of Professor Simone Casetta within the broadest project "Diciassette ipotesi per una fotografia prossima e futura"
