❘ ❘  ▷ ☐ (Stop Play Pause) is a short video about the relation between movement and rest.
The starting point of this project was the concept that the time that one spends in a place create the relationship between the person and the space. Analysing the everyday routine, I realized that it’s the alternation of moment of movement and moment of rest, and our relation with the space around changes. My video stresses on this point and show how the dynamic moments during the day are those in which the connection with the space is temporary and almost unfelt (static relationship with the space), instead when I’m still in a place I relate with it, what surrounds me and other people (dynamic relationship with the space). Movement moments are portrayed with photography sequence (static technique) and rest moments with video (dynamic technique). The title is a link between the techniques I used and the perception I wanted to demonstrate.
