Stargaze is a gesture based interactive night sky installation for childrens' bedrooms where in a kinect sensor mounted on the ceiling reads the gesture based inputs from the user lying on the bed and generates the corresponding visual output in the night sky projection on the ceiling.
The core idea of the project is to understand and observe the interactions of the children with the night sky.
Interactions like pointing the stars,connecting the stars,creating scribbles to the sky and exploring the universe were then simulated using gestures.
The technologies used were - hand and finger tracking through XBox Kinect and a projector.
