IKIGAI (A reason for being)
This is a logo designed for a friend's start-up which is a program for life and career coaching and self-development programs.
Ikigai is a Japanese word which means a reason for being, encompassing joy, a sense of purpose and meaning and a feeling of well-being. The word derives from iki, meaning life and kai, meaning the realization of hopes and expectations.
ikigai includes 4 important things :
1)What you love.
2)What you can do.
3)what you can be paid for.
4)what the world needs.

This logo was created based on the Ikigai diagram however manipulated into an elephant and the reason why I chose an elephant is because they are compassionate, intelligent and self-aware.
Ikigai in Japanase pronounced "ee-kee-ga-ee" written from top to bottom
These are other logos created for Ikigai but the decision was made that the bottom left logo suits the client's requirements with some minor adjustments.
